Samuel Patrick Farnand, born in Delaware, Arkansas on March 16, 1942, passed away in Hico, Texas June 11, 2024, at age 82. Samuel was known as “Sammy”, “Sam” or “Papa Sam” to close friends and family. Sam served in the United States Air Force reaching the rank of Staff Sargent. He traveled the world dredging canals. Sam mostly enjoyed spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed being outdoors, working on projects and helping others. He was known for his selflessness, always putting others first.
Preceding Sam in death were his parents James and Leona Mowery.
Surviving Sam are daughters, Kimberly Richards and Sonya Britt and husband Mike, grandchildren Ashley Bell and spouse Rory Jackson, Savanah Britt, Stephen Bergman and wife Kelly, and Cole Britt. Sam is also survived by great grandchildren, Breeanna Bell, Blayn Jackson, Brooke Jackson, Lilah Ruiz, Adalynn Jeffreys, Bayli Jackson, Luke Ruiz and Kayson Britt.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 12pm, June 22, 2024 at 214 Hemphill, Hico, Texas.
