NJCAA World Series All-Tournament Team member Budisalovich joins Texan Softball for 2025

STEPHENVILLE – Following an impressive two-year career at Temple College, Alyssa Budisalovich joins the Texans for 2025 as announced by head coach Mark Cumpian on Monday.

In her two seasons for the Temple College Leopards, Budisalovich played in over 90 percent of the games, including all 66 on the schedule her sophomore year. At the completion of her sophomore campaign, Budisalovich notched a top-three spot in five different offensive categories.

The Cypress, Texas, native, batted .487 during her final season with the Leopards, notching the third highest average on the team. Hitting almost .500, Budisalovich collected 60 runs averaging almost one run per game played in. With a high batting average and plenty of runs scored, the sophomore sat third on the team in on-base percentage at .545. Once on the base paths, she was quick to move, stealing 18 bases during the season putting her second on the team. Budisalovich also claimed her spot at No. 2 in hits. She collected 93 hits across her sophomore season as she helped lead Temple College to the NJCAA World Series finishing third in the nation.

All of her hard work and success on the field didn’t come without recognition. She was named Defensive MVP, First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Region, and named to the NJCAA World Series All-Tournament Team. She also earned a top-five spot in the NJCAA North Region for batting average.

Budisalovich graduated from Cypress Woods High School in 2022. She spent four years on the varsity squad before signing with Temple College. During her time at Cypress Woods, she was named Second Team All-District for three years and was named to the honor roll all four years.

Budisalovich intends to major in Business at Tarleton State University.
