(June 10, 1962 – August 2, 2024)

Douglas Wayne Kilcrease, a dedicated family man, was called home to be with his lord and savior on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, at the young age of 62. Douglas was born to the late Alec Kilcrease and Marilyn Hester in Seminole, Texas on June10th 1962. After graduating from Dublin High School Doug worked in the oil field for several years before becoming a successful self-employed painter for over 30 years, he then went on to find joy in construction. Anyone who knew Doug knew he was not one to take it easy, Doug was one of the hardest working men around. While we lost our most beloved dad and grandfather, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master of sarcastic humor and witty timing to others, and even a glorious pain in the neck to what I’m sure is a small select few “because no matter what happened between you and your lives, once you were marked as important to him, he would be by your side if you needed him.” There was so much more to him than just a dad and grandfather, though to us that was his greatest role; he was also an uncle, friend, coworker and colleague, a cousin, brother stand in paternal figure for the fatherless, a handy man and the list goes on and on.
Doug is survived by his spouse Brandi Sams, four daughters, Marilyn Kilcrease, Krystal Ratliff, Misty Parrish and spouse Josh Parrish, Lexi Kilcrease, and his two stepchildren, Chris and Colton Carter as well as his beloved grandchildren, Jacob and Dylan Blanken, Madilyn Kilcrease, Christi and Morgan Wayne Parrish, Jayden, Jennessa, Kylie and Quentin Resendiz, Seth Carter, and many siblings, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held at Harrell Funeral Home on Monday, August 5th, 2024, from 6-8pm.
Funeral services to follow on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, at 11am. He will be laid to rest at Hansen Cemetery in Proctor, Texas.
