The Three Way Braves volleyball team took on the Stephenville FAITH Lady Knights on Tuesday, September 3. The Lady Braves gave it their all but fell to the Lady Knights in 3.
The Braves volleyball team was shaken up in the 1 set with a loss of 5-25. The Lady Braves did not let this set defeat them, coming back in the second set stronger, with #12 Faith Olivera setting up her teammates to execute plays. However, this was not enough to beat the Knights with a score of 15-25 in the 2 set. Entering the 3 set #4 Boston Greer and #2 Hayden Bolt received a massive double block giving them momentum, but were still defeated in the 3 with a score of 14-25.
Head coach, Hannah Smith shares that this is a young team, who lack experience only gained by playing the sport. Coach Smith said, “These girls gave a lot of fight, but they do have a lot to learn.” She also shares that this was a great team for the girls to play to see their game rhythm, allowing them to improve.
The Three Way Braves will take on their next opponent, Ranger at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7.
