TARLETON STATE

Texan Volleyball is on the road with a match against New Mexico State Friday, September 13, at 3 p.m., and a match at Northern Arizona State on Saturday, September 14, at 1 p.m.

Tarleton Football is 2-1 after beating Houston Christian, 35-18, last week. They have a bye this Saturday.

STEPHENVILLE 

The Honeybees (13-10) defeated the Lady Eagles from Abilene High, in three straight sets on Tuesday. Now they face the Crawford (23-3) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 13. The Bees will then host Mansfield Legacy in Gandy Gym on Tuesday, September 17.

The Yellow Jackets (2-0) are still undefeated and No. 1 in Texas 4A, D1. Friday, September 13, is Homecoming for Stephenville HS and the Jackets will face the Godley Wildcats (1-1) at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Stephenville is coming off a win over the Everman Bulldogs, 59-21, last week and are looking to continue the streak.

FAITH

The Lady Knights volleyball team at 7-1 and beat the Three Way Lady Braves in three straight sets on Thursday, September 12. 

The FAITH Knights (0-1) are headed to the Sidney on Friday, September 13, to face the Eagles (1-1) at 7 p.m. The Knights fell to a strong Gorman Panthers team last week and are looking to bounce back against the Eagles. 

HICO

The Lady Tigers (2-8) are on a break Friday, after having traveled to Comanche and Axtell for their last 2 matches. 

The Tigers are on a two-game winning streak, having defeated Moody and Rio Vista. This week Hico will host the Cross Plains Buffaloes (2-0) at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 13, at Hico Tiger Stadium.

DUBLIN

The Lady Lions (4-6) are looking to get back on track after a forfeit loss to Lingleville last week and a hard fight against De Leon on Saturday. They face the Tolar Lady Rattlers (16-8) Friday, September 13, at 4:30 p.m.

The Dublin Lions (0-2) are on the road this week, headed to Anson to face the Tigers () at 7 p.m. on Friday night. The Lions are coming off a tough battle against the Millsap Bulldogs (2-0) last week, 13-42.

LINGLEVILLE 

The Lady Cards (7-20) are facing the Meridian Lady Yellow Jackets (1-13) on Friday, September 13, at 4:30 p.m. Lingleville is coming off a big 3-0 win over Iredell on Tuesday and are looking to continue the streak.

The LHS Cardinals (0-1) are headed to Kopperl to face the Eagles (1-1) on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The Cards lost 0-20 against Rising Star last week and had their first game of the season called due to weather before the end of the second quarter.

BLUFF DALE

The Lady ‘Cats (15-6-4) are having a great season and are ranked 15th in the state in 1A, D1 volleyball. They defeated the Santo Lady Bobcats (0-8) on Wednesday in three straight sets and are facing the Lady Elks of Evans (17-5) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 13.

The Bluff Dale Bobcat football team is 3-0 and having a pretty good season as well. They beat Covington (0-3), 57-43, on Thursday, September 12, and will travel to Sidney to face the Eagles (1-1) on Friday, September 20. 

THREE WAY

The Lady Braves are looking to turn their season around after a few hard losses to Stephenville FAITH and Bluff Dale. They hope to get back on track with games next week.

The Three Way Braves are 2-0 to start the season and will face Buckholts (0-2) on Friday, September 13, at 6:30 p.m. following some trouble with refs in Olfen. The Braves defeated Grace Christian Academy last week, 56-0 and hope to continue their early success Friday.
