Doris Jean McCauley Roberson, 83, of Stephenville, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Funeral services for Doris will be at 2:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2024 at Stephenville Funeral
Home Chapel. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation with the Roberson family will
begin at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to services.
Doris was born on December 28, 1940 in Havre De Grace, Maryland, to the late Jesse Franklin
and Alice Kathleen Garrison McCauley. She married Clayton Roberson on July 9, 1960 in Havre
De Grace, Maryland. Doris loved to spend time with her family, and also loved to read, garden,
vacation, and go dancing. She was a member of Harvey Baptist Church, and has lived most of
her life in Stephenville. Doris spent several years in food service with the Stephenville ISD.
Doris is survived by her husband, Clayton, sons, Glen and wife Margie, Bruce and wife Melanie,
and Roger and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Chase, Michael, Hannah, Brandon and wife Brooke,
Bailey, and Molly and husband Zane; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Zoey, and Mila, and several
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by brothers, Jesse and James McCauley.
The family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form or donations to the American
Cancer Society.
