TARLETON

The Tarleton State Texans (8-2, 5-1 UAC) finished their regular season with a 38-21 win at West Georgia (3-7, 0-7 UAC). Both Tarleton and Abilene Christian are ranked in the top 15, setting up a classic this upcoming Saturday for at least a share of the conference championship. The Texans and Wildcats will meet in Stephenville on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium for an all-time battle. The winner of Saturday’s contest will lock up at least a share of the United Athletic Conference championship. ACU is currently 6-1 in UAC play, and Tarleton is 5-1. If Tarleton wins, the Texans will clinch at least a share, and could clinch the automatic playoff bid if Eastern Kentucky loses at Austin Peay earlier in the day. If ACU wins, the Wildcats will win an outright championship, regardless of other results.

STEPHENVILLE

The Stephenville Yellow Jackets (9-1, 4-0) are coming out of District 4, 4A undefeated and in first place. The Jackets, who are ranked No. 4 by Texas Football, are on the road to Abilene where they will face the San Angelo Lake View Chiefs (2-8, 0-3) at 7 p.m. on Friday night. The winner will face the winner of the Hereford/El Paso Riverside game.

DUBLIN

The Dublin Lions (2-8, 2-3) are in the playoffs and will travel to Springtown HS for a showdown with the No. 8 Holliday Eagles (8-2, 5-0). Dublin is coming out of District 5, 3A in fourth place and are looking to take down the Eagles on Friday night. 

HICO

The Hico Tigers (5-5, 1-4) finished their season in fifth place in District 5, 2A after losing a tough one against Ballinger, 26-27, last week. 

LINGLEVILLE

The Lingleville Cardinals (2-6, 1-3) ended the season in fourth place in District 13, 1A and defeated Ranger, 45-18, in their final game last week.

BLUFF DALE

The Bluff Dale Bobcats (6-4, 2-2) finished their season in third place in District 11, 1A after beating Kopperl, 48-36, last week. 

THREE WAY

The Three Way Braves (9-1, 3-1) are coming out of District 11, 1A in second place and will face the Oakwood Panthers (5-5, 3-0) who are coming out of District 12, 1A in first. The Braves, who are playing in the first playoff game since the school district started their football program, will kickoff against the Panthers on Friday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in Abbott. The winner will play Gold-Burg (7-4, 2-0) who won their Bi-District game Thursday night, 64-62, over Woodson. 

FAITH

The Stephenville FAITH Knights (3-7, 1-3) are coming out of TAIAO Division 2 in fourth place and will take on the Lubbock Titans (4-4, 1-0) in the Quarterfinal Championship at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at the Hermleigh ISD field. Texas Wind (7-0).
