(October 10, 1939 – November 27, 2024)
Jerry Allen Huffman, born on October 10, 1939, to Edgar Allen and Barbara Faye Rutherford Huffman in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2024, at his home in rural Iredell, Texas.
As a child, Jerry’s family lived above his parent’s drugstore, and after high school he went on to attend Texas Christian University. While attending TCU, Jerry was a Horned Frog football letterman and graduated in 1962. From TCU, he went on to attend pharmacy school at Oklahoma University, graduating in 1965.
Jerry owned and operated his own pharmacy, Huffman Pharmacy, in Crowley, Texas, until 1980. He also owned a pharmacy in his hometown of Grandview, and then became a relief pharmacist for many other pharmacies in the area, most notably Glen Rose Pharmacy for many years until early 2024.
One of Jerry’s proudest accomplishments was being a licensed and actively working Pharmacist for more than 50 years, and in fact, he just recently stopped working in 2024.
Jerry was known as Dad and Granddad to his family. He enjoyed traveling, RV’ing and camping in Yellowstone National Park with his family, College Football (especially TCU), hunting, fishing, and seeing his kids and grandkids grow up.
