Keller Scott Fornes, 32, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Eastland, Texas. Keller was baptized in the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his adventures as a child in
AWANAs’, studying scripture with the youth group at Kerrville Methodist church as well as Young Life mentors. A memorial service for Keller has been scheduled for January 11th at 4 pm, Cowboy Church of Erath County, Hwy 67, Stephenville TX.
 
Keller was born in Lubbock, Texas, on April 22, 1992, to his parents Kimberly Lynn Turney-Fornes and Kobe Scott Fornes. 
 
Keller was a performer and an artist. He earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts at the University of North Texas in Denton. He was a natural leader of the ATO fraternity while maintaining the
Deans honor roll. Keller also wrote, produced and starred in his own independent films.


In his limited spare time, Keller enjoyed painting, drawing, singing and playing the guitar as well as all types of physical challenges. Prior to transferring to the University of North Texas, Keller tried
out for the wrestling team at Texas State University. He worked hard, made the team and competed well. After Graduation at UNT, Keller moved to Atlanta GA to begin his career in film. Networking, attending acting classes and auditioning, while waiting tables and eventually working as a personal trainer. Once he got settled in, he pursued a passion for boxing. Thus, he tried out and entered the Golden Gloves and won a gold medal in his division in the state of Georgia. Keller made many of his own independent films which were privately funded by friends and family who supported him from the very beginning.
 
Survivors include his mother, Kimberly Lynn Fornes; his father, Kobe Scott Fornes and his wife, Margie; his brothers, Charles “Keaton” Fornes and Kason Lynn Fornes and his wife, Chessney;
and his nephew, Koston Lynn Fornes. He is also survived by his grandparents, Janey “Charlene” Fornes-Boucher, Cynthia Ann Turney and Lynn Moore Turney and his wife, Marcie Turney. He
also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
 
Keller is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles “Buddy” Fornes, his step-grandfather, Edwin Boucher and his beloved uncle, Kyle Fornes.
