Edna was born in Comanche County, Texas, on January 21, 1926, to Daulton Curtis and Amanda (Goodson) Gilder.
When she was 18, she moved towards the bright lights of Fort Worth and for almost 40 years she worked at Bell Helicopter. She began in the steno pool and through her smarts and hard work became one of the earliest women executives at Bell.
Later, Edna settled in Stephenville. She was a charter member of the Town and Country Quilt Guild and for more than 30 years she worked tirelessly as a pink lady volunteer at the Stephenville Hospital. She was also a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Stephenville.
She is survived by her brother, Billy Mack Gilder of New Braunfels, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
