Tarleton State Football’s Tuli Teuhema to compete in Podyum All-Star Bowl

MIAMI – Tarleton State Football offensive lineman Tuli Teuhema has accepted an invitation to compete at the 2025 Podyum All-Star Bowl January 16-19 at Tropical Park Stadium in Miami. 

Teuhema will be one of 100 players across all levels of the NCAA and NAIA to compete in the four-day showcase in front of pro scouts from all levels. The event will include individual, group, and team periods, seminars from former pro athletes, scouts, agents and coaches and concluding with the annual bowl game. 

Held annually in Miami, the Podyum All-Star Bowl provides former collegiate athletes the opportunity to showcase their athletic ability and provide them with the inside knowledge of what it takes to play professional football. Several Podyum All-Star Bowl alums have moved on to successful pro careers and have been invited to NFL training camps, including current Baltimore Ravens cornerback Anthony Kendall. 

With the help of Teuhema, Tarleton State Football won a Division I program record 10 games in 2024 and earned an at-large bid to its first-ever FCS Playoffs. Named to the United Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference at Center, Teuhema earned First Team all UAC All-Conference Team by Phil Steele. 

Teuhema started all 14 games and helped the Tarleton State offense to national marks of sixth in red zone offense (.930) and eighth in pass yards per completion (14.3). The senior offensive lineman helped Tarleton State’s offense finish 17th in rushing offense (198.2 rush yards per game), 22nd in sacks allowed (1.23 per) and 25th in turnovers lost (13). Conference-wise, Tarleton State’s offense ranked third in scoring offense, third in total offense, and third in rushing offense with Teuhema at center. 

In his first year at Tarleton State, Teuhema was a UAC First Team All-Conference selection and a Second Team All-Conference selection by Phil Steele in 2023. Starting 11 games at center, the Arlington, Texas, native helped lead the Texans to the No. 1 rushing offense in the UAC with 201.7 rushing yards per game. The Lamar High School product was a four-year player at Fort Hays State before arriving in Stephenville. 

The Texans are coming off its first Division I playoff win against Drake in Stephenville before falling to No. 4 seed South Dakota in the second round. Finishing in the Top-15 in the national rankings, Tarleton Football collected 10 All-UAC honors and won two All-American titles to complete 2024.
