(August 20, 1937 – January 26, 2025)
Nancy Ann Barnes Corbell entered the arms of Jesus at age 87 on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, in Stephenville, TX., surrounded by her family and friends. She was the third and oldest daughter of five children born to Homer Barnes and Lola (Redden) Barnes on August 20, 1937, in Reagan County, TX.
She married the love of her life, Jack Corbell on May 28th, 1958, and together they shared seven children and 65 loving years. During their 65 years, she enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for her large family, and hosting large gatherings where she prepared many meals.
She immensely enjoyed listening to music, leading worship music, and traveling when her family schedule permitted. Above all else she believed in Jesus and actively sought him through prayer, studying scripture and lived a life that aligned with his teachings.
She never met a stranger and if she did, they quickly became her friend. She enjoyed gathering with friends and family often around a dinner table and her greatest blessings in life were her children. She loved to share stories and photos of all of her family with others.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Lola Barnes. Her beloved husband Jack Corbell. Three siblings, Louis Barnes, Elmo Barnes and Carloyn Blanton, brother-in-law Billy Joe Corbell and sister-in-law, Tommie Corbell as well as her cherished granddaughter Renea Rasberry.
