Jesse Mae (Stovall) Westbrook Cole, 98, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Stephenville, Texas. A memorial service will be held for Mae at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas on March 9th, at 2:00 p.m.

Mae was born in Ennis, Ellis County, TX on December 7, 1926, to her parents Jesse Macon Stovall and Ollie Fae (Wood) Stovall. Mae and her twin sister, Fae, grew up in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. Mae later moved to East Dallas where she raised her family.

She met and married Thomas Jefferson (T.J.) Westbrook and they had two daughters, Julia and Rebecca. She enjoyed square dancing, playing bridge, and creating stained glass, and still found time to attend dental school to become a dental assistant. Following T.J.’s passing in 1978, she continued to enjoy square dancing where she met John Cole. Mae & John were married briefly until John’s unexpected passing.

The family attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in East Dallas. In the early years, Mae later became a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas.

Mae is survived by her daughter, Julia (Judy) Teeter and husband James of Stephenville, Texas; grandchildren, Brett Barr and wife Kim of Midlothian, Texas, Shannon (Barr) Brooks and husband J Brooks of Stephenville, Texas; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Blake, Hannah, and Jace; and great great-grandchildren, Aiden and Marina.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Mae Westbrook, sister Ollie Fae Brunson, first husband, Thomas Jefferson Westbrook, John Cole, and her very special cousin Betty G. Henry.

Mae was a strong, outspoken personality. She was very honest in her opinions. She loved her bling, her cat and most of all her family and we loved all these things about her!
