Mary Martha Taylor born March 26, 1945, in Hamilton, Texas to parents Fritz and Ester (Sommerfeld) Eisen, passed away in Hamilton, Texas on February 18, 2025, at age 79 with her family by her side. Mary was a graduate of Hamilton High School. Mary married Vernon Odell Taylor in 1962. Mary worked at Eddie’s Liquor Store, Leisure Lodge Care Center in Hamilton and was self-employed thereafter.
Mary “Uma” Taylor was a loving grandmother, devoted mother and friend. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing and riding their bikes. She was known for giving sweets to the kids. She enjoyed life to the fullest, and always tried to create a good laugh.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Ester, brother Johnny Eisen and granddaughter Jennifer.
Surviving Mary are children Pauline Pringle and husband John of Fort Worth, Henry Taylor and wife Darla of Fort Worth, Carl Taylor and wife Michele of Hamilton, Vernon Taylor of Hamilton, grandchildren Melissa and Dewayne Cornell of Roanoke, Stephanie and Matt Massingill of Hamilton, Brittney and Courtney Taylor of Gatesville, Carleigh and Jacoby Tye of Hamilton, Brandon and Amber Taylor of Hamilton, Tiffany and Justin Hyatt of Comanche and Bryce Thompson, sister Janie Senger,
Also surviving Mary are greatgrandchildren Kamron, Colton, Stetson, Caseton, Krosslyn, Austin, Aspen, Adam, Maxx, Kobe, Evrytt, Sutten, Lila Grace, Jackson, Lindsey and Kendall.
Services 2:00 pm Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Chapman officiating.
