Willard Lynn Howle, 81, of Stephenville, died Saturday, February 22, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held at the Cowboy Church of Erath County, Monday, February 24th, 2025 from 5pm-7pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 at 10am with Brother Werth Mays officiating, burial will follow at the Duffau Cemetery.
Our Daddy was born on Oct 15, 1943 in Erath County to John Morgan Howle & Annie Oleta McDowell Howle. He attended school at Three Way and then on to Stephenville High School where he graduated in 1961. He then attended Texas A &M where he attained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1964. After graduation, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served as a combat medic during the Vietnam Era. Upon leaving the military he went to work for the soil conservation service, until returning to the family dairy farm. He began milking cows, farming and selling feed mills. After retiring from the dairy business, he became a real estate broker and consultant of property management. He travelled all over the world playing golf, entertaining, and living life to the fullest. He was famous for telling everyone “Today is the best day of my life” He was a devoted Christian who attended the Cowboy Church of Erath County. He is survived by his children Randy Howle & wife Lora, Ginger Roberts & husband Klint and sister Clara Byerly. Grandsons Brandon Howle & wife Whitney, Cody Howle & wife Chelsea, Devyn Peacock, Dylan Howle, granddaughter Kristen Wolfe & husband Zach, and grandson Kainen Roberts. Great grandchildren Carter Wayne, Clara, Rusty, Cohen, & Mason Howle. Numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends who have become family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and many siblings.
We would like to extend special appreciation to CCS Hospice, LeighAnn and Tiffany. Also, Chelsea Howle for the special care she so lovingly provided for Pa.
