Ruby Azadell Brown, a resident of Catoosa, Oklahoma, passed away on March 1, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on September 14, 1940, in Dublin, Texas, Ruby was the daughter of Mary and Ruby Brown. She spent her childhood in Dublin, growing up with her parents and brothers.

Ruby was known for her industrious nature, always ready to fix anything that broke, from household appliances to car windows. Her adventurous spirit led her to dream up inventions and business ventures, including selling juggling props designed for the best juggling experience, which she shipped worldwide.

Ruby had a passion for antiquing and thrift store shopping, amassing a collection of dishes, coffee cups, coffee makers, purses, hats, and small glass bottles. Above all, she cherished her family and her beloved companion of 32 years, Dusty, the Yellow Crested Amazon.

Preceded in death by her parents, son Jeffrey McIlroy, and brothers Selden, Bobby, Jimmy, Charles, and Michael Brown, Ruby is survived by her son Brian and his wife Jennifer McIlroy of Cedar Park, Texas, daughter-in-law Teresa McIlroy Stanford and her husband John Stanford of Catoosa, Oklahoma, brother William and his wife Sue Brown of Brownwood, Texas, sister-in-law Doris Brown of Stephenville, Texas, grandchildren Gabriel McIlroy, Michaela McIlroy, Austin and his wife Lisa McIlroy, Ali Groves, and great-grandchildren Wilder McIlroy, Galen Groves, and Coan Groves.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the New Dublin Liveoak Cemetery at 11:00am.
