(February 16, 1944 — March 13, 2025)
Wilma (Jeannie) Weldon, was born on February 16, 1944 in Whittier, California to the late John Willis Minks and Lily Mae Kirkpatrick Minks. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Weldon, on October 15, 1960 in her mother’s living room. She was a homemaker, one heck of a cook, and an awesome Nana. She was a member of the Church of Nazarene. She moved from Hesperia, California, where she and Jimmy raised their three children, before moving to Stephenville, Texas in 2002.
She is survived by sons, David and wife Crystal of Cary, North Carolina and Perry and wife Vilma of Menifee, California; Daughter, De and husband Darin Shewmaker of Morgan Mill, Texas; Brothers-in-law, Tony Weldon, Fred and wife Sue Weldon, Larry and wife Ramona Weldon; Sisters-in-law Judy and husband Dave Stokes, Francis Minks; Sisters Betty, Judy, Joyce, Barbara, and Shirley; 13 grandchildren which include, A’dayr, M.E, Kiran, Wryle, Jacob, Noah, Lilly, and Angel; 10 nephews and nieces; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Church of the Nazarene in Stephenville, Texas with Curt Plaxco officiating.
