The Stephenville High School Bass Club had eight teams compete in the THSBA Regional Tournament on Saturday, April 26, on Lake Lewisville.
Colton and Sawyer King finished in 10th place with four fish weighing 16.82 lbs. Both received a $250 scholarship. Sawyer finished in 1st place in the Big Bass competition, weighing 9.25 lbs and received a $1,000 scholarship.
Axle and Rhyker Dixon finished in 64th place with three fish weighing 6.9 lbs.
Both the King’s and Dixon’s qualified for the State Tournament on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, on Lake Conroe.
Riley Helms and Tyler Traweek finished in 77th place with three fish weighing 6.06 lbs.
Kooper Key finished in 111th place with one fish weighing 2.75 lbs.
Hudson Lewallen and Rowdey Nowosad finished in 112th place with 1 fish weighing 2.71 lbs.
Carter Burks and Pecos Tally finished in 135th place with one fish weighing 1.84 lbs.
Stephenville HS finished in 9th place out of 81 schools. In total, there were 225 teams fishing in the Regional Tournament this year.
