Mabel Louise Trotter passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 96. She lived a long and happy life. She believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior and walked with him daily. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stephenville, Texas.

She married Garlin Trotter in 1945 and became an Air Force wife. She moved around the United States and even overseas to establish a home for Garlin and their two children. Renee and Larry. After Garlin’s death in 2010 she mourned him every day. However, she stubbornly continued to live in her home, volunteering at her local hospital, sewing baby gowns for preemies and stillborn babies, making quilts, and cooking for others.

She spent a lot of time with her brothers, sisters, and their families. They fished, quilted, cooked, and laughed a lot.

In 2020 she reluctantly moved to Stephenville to be near her family. She quickly made friends and became known as a pie maker and gardener.

She loved her four grandchildren, James, Holly, Jeffrey, and Joanna. She was so proud of them.

She adored her greatgrands, Hannah, Ella, Allie, and Georgia Grace. She was always happy to spend time with them.

She went to heaven quietly and peacefully. Psalms 90:1 “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.”
