Lillie Mae (Hickman) Huston, “Sissie”, was born on March 30, 1934, in Waxahachie, Texas to Wesley Dunlap and Margaree (Smith) Hickman. She passed to see her Jesus on June 25, 2025. She is survived by her son Jeffrey Huston and wife Carolyn, daughter Deleen Cousineau and husband Mike, and son Randy Huston and wife Kay. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Weldon, her son Keith, her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Sissie was a selfless human being, often putting other’s needs in front of her own. She was full of joy, friendliness & laughter and leaves behind a legacy of caring and cherished memories.

She married her high school sweetheart. Weldon in 1952 and soon moved to Odessa where they had 4 children in six years and attended the Free Will Baptist Church. She was truly a servant and a woman that loved others.

Sissie and Weldon moved to Dublin, TX in 1987 where they raised cattle, enjoyed their working retirement years and became very active members of Greens Creek Baptist Church.

Sissie was a funny, feisty, and witty wife, mom and friend with a wonderful sense of humor. She never outgrew these joyful and delightful qualities. She was all about loving God and loving people. She was a prayer warrior and had a tremendous love for the Scriptures. She was a great encourager to the residents in her rehabilitation-nursing facility during her final years. She lived a life that was never about her, but a life of loving God and loving others.

CELEBRATING her life will be her children Jeffrey, Deleen, and Randy along with nine grandchildren, Travis, Luke, Brooke, Kristina, Trent, Trey, Keith Alan, Daniel & Nathan; and 10 great grandchildren, Autumn, Addilynn, Madie, Lily, Austin, Erin, Emma, Kate, Elise, and Asher.

Service Information

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, in the Erath County Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
