To the voters in the City of Stephenville,
The city council election for a new mayor is extremely important to our city. Being a member of the city council requires a significant amount of time in order to be a committed, productive council member. David Baskett has already proven his commitment and dedication to the service of our community. Serving our city previously in various aspects of our city government, David garnered a wealth of knowledge prior to his election in May of 2022. After he was elected, his attendance of regular and special council meetings stands at a stellar 99.9% present, while the attendance of his opponent, Lonn Reisman, stands at 76% leaving an empty seat to represent you at 24% of the regular and special meetings – where decisions are made and council votes are cast. It is important whom you choose to represent you.
Citizen input is welcomed by David, and he is responsive to concerns as he weighs the decisions that are best for our community. He has always replied to our correspondence while the absence of response from Lonn Reisman leaves an impression of unwelcome input. Having closely followed city council governance for over 20 years, the choice is clear and our vote for David Baskett for Mayor of Stephenville is an easy one to cast.
