June 28, 1934 ~ November 2, 2025 (age 91)

Otto Charles Kitchens went home to be with the Lord on Sunday November 2, 2025, he passed
peacefully with his wife Louise at his side after visiting family that day. Born June 28, 1934 in
Avalon, Texas to L John “Jack” and Mavis Kitchens. He is survived by wife of 54 years Victory
Louise Kitchens, brother John Kitchens and wife Donna, predeceased by brother Jerry survived
by sister-in-law Billie Jean Kitchens. He is predeceased by Laura Estelle Brannon Kitchens.
Survived by children; John and wife Marilyn Kitchens, Marilee and husband James Robertson,
Mark and wife Cassie Kitchens, Robin Kitchens and Tracy and wife Karon Kitchens. There are
numerous grandchildren. He was a graduate of Milford High school, Milford, Texas. He was very
fond of his faithful dog Queenie. Otto and Louise are of strong faith and passionate longtime
members of the Rocky Point Baptist Church in Stephenville. Otto had a deep commitment to
the Lord and the Food Ministry.
Otto had an engageable outlook on life, he was always quick witted with a positive outlook.
Being the center of conversation was easy for him. He was never short of ideas, nor was he
short of energy, it was boundless. He was a lifelong entrepreneur that engaged in a number of
businesses both larger and small, once a business was started, he was eager to move to the
next. He was a constant learner interested in new technology or methods and how to apply it.
He was involved in or owned many businesses; dry cleaning, car sales, Snap-On Tools, multiple
gas stations, Metro Tool Dealers Warehouse in Dallas, SBA Auctions and others. During the
1980’s and 1990’s the environment and recycling took his interest, he had a strong desire to
contribute. In Stephenville he owned The Salvage Center (Graham St), The Recycling Center
(Dublin Hwy) and later 5 years of Bible study at The Co-Op for all ages. Even in the last weeks of
his life, he spoke often of starting new businesses and ventures.
A memorial will be held at Rocky Point Baptist Church 3595 Co Rd 178, Stephenville, TX 76401
Saturday November 15, 2025 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to Samaritan Purse,
Disabled Veterans, Heart Association or their favorite charity.
