Betty Jean Lewis, lovingly known for her warm heart, strong faith, and deep love for her family, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at the age of 90 in Granbury, Texas.

Born on April 30, 1936, in Sherman, Texas, Betty was the daughter of Cecil Atterberry and Jewel Pinion Atterberry. She lived a life centered around faith, family, kindness, and simple joys that made lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Betty was a devoted homemaker whose greatest accomplishment was caring for and loving her family. She married the love of her life, Bobby Charles Lewis, on November 29, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to their children and grandchildren. Bobby preceded her in death on September 30, 2015.

A faithful member of the Pentecostal church, Betty’s faith guided her throughout her life. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching television, spending precious time with her family, and especially caring for her beloved dog, Sasha, who brought her great comfort and joy.

Betty leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Vickie Allen of Aubrey, Texas; Bobby Keith Lewis and wife LaDonna of Granbury, Texas; and Charles Kenneth Lewis and wife Valerie of Stephenville, Texas.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jason Hinkel and wife Angela, Joshua Hinkel and wife Shawna, Justin Hinkel and wife Glenda, Brian Lewis, Jerrod Caskey and wife Amber, Jeremy Caskey and wife Michelle, Christie Lewis, and Michelle Cortez and husband Amos.

 Betty was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Jimmie Dillon of Balch Springs, Texas, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Bobby Charles Lewis; and her daughter, Bobbie Sue Lewis.

Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the comfort she brought to those around her. Her life was a beautiful example of devotion, strength, and grace. Though her family’s hearts are heavy with loss, they find peace in knowing she is reunited with loved ones gone before her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Martin’s Funeral Home in Granbury, TX. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Keith Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, TX at 2:00 p.m.

Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
