It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Ann Turner, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on May 25, 2026, in Stephenville, Texas. Born to Betty Jo and Robert Wayne Burney in Dublin, Texas, on July 9, 1961, Betty lived a life filled with love, laughter, and deep faith.

Betty was best known for her unwavering devotion to her family, especially as a loving Granny to her four cherished grandchildren: Jackson, Reagan, Shasta Phelps, and Makynlee Turner. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, creating beautiful memories that will be treasured forever. Betty was also deeply involved in her community, actively participating in the Southside Church of Christ, where she found a second family and a source of inspiration. She dedicated 32 years of her life working for FMC.

She is preceded in death by her father and her beloved grandparents, who welcomed her into their arms in heaven. Betty is survived by her loving children, Colby, Kayla, and Matthew Turner, along with his partner, Anne Gilheany, all of Stephenville, Texas. She leaves behind her devoted mother, Betty, and her siblings: Sue West, Robert Burney, Alan Burney, and Scott Whitely, along with many nieces and nephews who adored her.

Betty’s kindness and compassion touched the lives of so many, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. As we mourn her passing, we find comfort in the words of Lamentations 3:32, “Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.”

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 28th from 5pm-7pm at Stephenville Funeral Home.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Friday May 29th, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Stephenville Funeral Home.
