Cheryl Lynn Whitaker, 58, beloved wife, mother, and sister, of Stephenville, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in her Stephenville home.

Cheryl was born on September 18, 1968, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Jessie Scott. Cheryl married Joe Whitaker on July 7, 2006 and together had four daughters, Savannah, Sheridan, Shiloh, and Sarah. She enjoyed horseback riding. A devout Christian, Cheryl was a member of Victory Life Church in Brownwood, Texas. Most of all, Cheryl cherished time spent with her beloved family.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Joe Whitaker; her daughters, Savannah and husband Stetston Rains, Sheridan Whitaker, Shiloh Whitaker, and Sarah Whitaker; sister, Cynthia and husband Duryea Kemp; brother, Bradford and wife Jennifer Scott; and by her nieces and nephews, Jessie and Addie Kemp and Logan and Ashlynn Scott.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by an infant sister, Pamela Scott.
