Tommy Donley was born in Meridian, Texas to W.B. “Sarge” and Bernice Bradfute Donley, on July 4, 1946, passed away May 5, 2026, in Hico, Texas at age 79.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa (Bell) Donley of Carlton, Texas; sons J.P. Donley (Misty) of Wimberley, Texas and Mickey Donley (Michelle) of Glen Rose, Texas; sisters Judy Donald (Gary) of Navasota, Texas and Billie Lane of Hico, Texas; grandsons Jake and Hagen Donley; and granddaughter Jenna McLean.
He is also survived by stepdaughters Miranda Nance (Dean) of New Waverly, Texas, Melissa Mannino (Blake Barber) of Cleburne, Texas, Kelly Davis (Michael) of Cleburne, Texas, and Emerald Brownlow of Cleburne, Texas; and stepson Cary Glasgow (Julia) of Middletown, California. His step-grandchildren include Caleb Nance (Tara), Olivia Nance, Preston Nance, Paxton James, Bam Smades, Sage Barber, Blake Gonzales, Tristan Davis (Ashlyn), Cameron Davis, Cache Davis, Jaxxon Brownlow, Julian Brownlow, Diana Glasgow, and Cary Glasgow, Jr. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Diego Flores, Stetson Nance, and Spradley Nance, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Hico, Texas was Tommy’s hometown, but as a child of an Army family he also lived in Massachusetts, Stuttgart, Germany, Huntsville, Texas. Tommy also enlisted in the US. Army and served in Vietnam. After his service time, he spent the majority of his working years as a painter. He worked for several years at Comanche Peak Power Plant in Glen Rose and painted houses before and after that period. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially loved spending time with the grandkids.
Tommy was a friend to many and dearly loved by his family. We all cherish the memories of our time spent with him.
