August 25, 1948 ~ May 28, 2026 (age 77)
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Aunt Cathy. Cathy passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026.
Cathy was born in Dallas, Texas to Bill Holden and Alma Scroggins on August 25, 1948. She was a member of the Huckabay Baptist Church, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and her dear friend, Bess Wright. Since moving here in 2017 she made a huge impact on the community in Huckabay, Tx. Dale and Alicia Pugh soon became part of her adopted family along with MANY others. She quickly became accustomed to the small town life and left a beautiful legacy behind.
Cathy is survived by her brother, Mickey and wife, Peggy; her Nieces and Nephews, Ryan Swatsell; Mandy and husband, Billy; Jason and wife, Angie; her 6 cherished Great Nieces and Nephews, Scott Kleiner; Michael Jones and wife, Victoria; Jeffery Swatsell; Jacob Swatsell; and Piper Kramer; along with a cherished Great-Great Niece and Nephew, Gracie Rutledge and Gabriel Jones.
Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jean Holden, Alma and Dave Holcomb; her brother, Dave Holden; and her niece, Jennifer Swatsell.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Lacy Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Her Funeral will be on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Huckabay Baptist Church, led by Dale Pugh.
She will be greatly missed by all who know and love her.
