Martha Katherine O’Bryant Griffin, 96, of Stephenville, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 in Stephenville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Johnsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Martha was born on May 2, 1918 in the Selden Community to the late Arthur and Emma Suejett Cherry O’Bryant. She married Robert Lowell Griffin on February 5, 1939 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1984. Martha grew up in Erath County, spent several years in the Fort Worth Metroplex, raising her family, and moved back to Stephenville several years ago. She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, a homemaker, and avid gardener.
Martha is survived by her children, Dwain and his wife Bonnie Griffin of Duncanville, Bob Griffin of Plano, Jerry and her husband John Nunn of Stephenville, and Kenneth and his wife Mary Griffin of Whitney; grandchildren, Glenna Jacobs, Teresa Wolf, Katherine Schuermans, Andy Griffin, James Griffin, Barbara Oats, Austin Griffin, David Crenshaw, Michael Crenshaw, Daniel Lee Griffin, Terri Ann Macio, Donna Richards, Lisa Reese, Melanie Proctor, Alex Ison, Chris Griffin, and Holly Crabtree, Ryan Griffin; great grandchildren, Caleb, Ashlyn, Tyler, Patrick, Kyleigh, Madeline, Zachery, Keiran, Coraline, Diana, Kelsey, Ashley, Amanda, Emily, Mellissa, Maria, Joseph, Mira, Seymore, Nicholas, Jake, Bailey, Noah, Luke, Hannah, Kensey, Brianna, Gregory; and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Martha was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Crenshaw, son, Ronald Griffin; and grandson, Vance Ison.
