Services for LaVern Edwina Chase, 72, owner & operator of an oilfield trucking company, who died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home.
LaVern was born in Lubbock, Texas, on January 18, 1942, to Floyd Edwin and Lois LaVern (Sears) McBride, Jr. She married Franklin (Frank) Chase on December 5, 1959, in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2013. She was a member of the Pettit Baptist Church in Pettit, Texas.
Survivors include daughters, Teresa Loftin of Stephenville and Valarie Harvick of Stephenville; step-daughter, Karla Clanahan of Lubbock; her sister, Janice Bleeker of Lubbock; her brother, Edwin Floyd McBride, II, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Brandon Chase Baxter and wife, Heather, of Lake Jackson, Tiffany LaVern Lavy and husband, Jonathan, of Stephenville, Brooke Lynn Harvick of Stephenville, and Nathaniel Clanahan of Lubbock; and great-grandchildren, Shea Lavy, Bray Den Lavy, and Layla Baxter.
