(January 20, 2015) — Stephenville (6-1) didn’t waste any time lamenting over its first loss in the final of the Knights of Columbus Challenge of Champions. Instead, the Yellow Jackets jumped right back in the winner’s circle.
The Yellow Jackets played lockdown defense in their third shutout of the young season, a 3-0 thumping of host Burkburnett Tuesday night.
The goals were scored by Brayden Perry, Felipe Espinoza then Aaron Veloz, who was Stpehenville’s all-tournament selection in the Challenge of Champions. Assists Tuesday were provided by Abhilekh Adhikari, Brice Elston and Jovanis Flores.
