DUBLIN (January 21, 2015) — Big things are happening in Dublin, and if you ask just about anyone they’ll tell you – ‘it’s a great day to be a Dublin Lion.’
And that’s just what Dublin Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Luanne Schexnider said this year’s Chamber Banquet theme, “Positively Dublin,” is all about. The banquet, which will be held on Monday, January 26, in the Old Rock Gym (Jr. High gym) at 407 Camden Street in Dublin, has limited seating and more than 200 people are expected to attend. Schexnider said that means those hoping to go need to get their tickets quick!
“Tickets are going fast and with the limited seating this year, people need to hurry,” she said. “Those chamber members wanting to participate by decorating a table can still sign up to do so by contacting the chamber office.”
She also said several outstanding Dublin citizens would be honored during the banquet including the Citizen of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, Spotlight on Excellence, Faith in the Future of Dublin, the ‘Hello my Friend’ award, the Volunteer of the Year and the Billie Kloster Ambassador award.
According to sources close to the event, one of the night’s honorees has been across the country recently representing Dublin on screens and stages from here to California and New York City!
Tickets are $18 per chamber member and $20 per community member and, unlike in years past, will not be available at the door. Be sure to get yours now!
