STEPHENVILLE (February 2, 2015) — Stephenville football, volleyball and cross country athletes were honored based on the votes of their teammates, while cheerleaders and athletic trainers were also recognized at the high school’s annual fall sports banquet Monday evening at City Hall on the grounds of City Limits.
There was plenty of success to celebrate with the football team returning to the state quarterfinals for a fifth straight year, the volleyball club winning its third consecutive area championship and cross country enjoying regional berths and possibly its first-ever boys district team title.

Cross country awards were presented to girls MVP Kayliana Castillo, just a freshman, Fighting Heart recipient Dulce Ochoa and boys MVP Riley Forehand.
Volleyball recognition went to Co-MVP’s Morgan Gibson and Kaleigh Conger, both outside hitters, Defensive MVP Lauren Gutierrez, a libero and defensive specialist and Fighting Heart honorees setter Kelcee Jones and manager Stefani Reyna.
Football players voted offensive lineman Noah Perez and nose guard Cameron Reynolds their Mr. Team Offense and Mr. Team Defense, respectively.
