STEPHENVILLE (February 2, 2015) — Two Stephenville linebackers including the team’s second-leading tackler have committed to Tarleton State.
Coaches announced during Monday evening’s athletic banquet that Justice Wisener and Josh Gillespie have committed to Tarleton. They are joining teammate Noah Perez, an offensive lineman, as Texans. National Signing Day is Wednesday.

Wisener made 121 tackles and led the team with 32 tackles for loss as Stephenville reached the state quarterfinals for the fifth straight year. Gillespie made 84 stops last fall.
Both are the sons of coaches. Gillespie is the son of former Stephenville head coach Joseph Gillespie, who left SHS on January 23 to become linebackers coach at the University of Tulsa. Wisener is the son of Henderson Junior High coach Brad Wisener.
There are a total of four area players committed to Tarleton, including Dublin quarterback Brady Holleman.
