(Stephenville) February 2, 2015 — Mo Lee averaged 22.5 points and eight rebounds in a pair of wins by No. 12 Tarleton State (18-2, 5-2) last week, and on Monday was named Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week by league officials in Richardson.

The senior guard from Brooklyn scored 21 points and collected nine rebounds when the Texans destroyed McMurry 89-42 last Wednesday at Wisdom Gym. He followed that up with 24 points, seven boards and three assists to lead Tarleton to a signature road win, 77-73 over No. 25 Texas A&M-Commerce, on Saturday. TAMUC had won its previous 14 at home, dating back to last season.

Lee was 16-24 from the field and 7-10 from the arc in last week’s wins, which gave Tarleton sole possession of third place in the LSC entering another rivalry showdown with second-place Midwestern State at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Wichita Falls.

Lee averages 13.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists for the season. He is the third Tarleton player to earn a weekly LSC award, joining TaShawn Mabry and Davene Carter. Mabry earned the offensive honor last week.
