Cardinals handle Gordon with ease

Colbe Stoker and Tim Griffin were up to business as usual Friday evening, and that meant scoring points in droves.

Stoker had 21 and Griffin 18 for District 18-A leader Lingleville in an easy 68-32 win over Gordon. The Cardinals were ahead 44-10 by intermission.

Tom VanKranenburg was also in double figures for the Cardinals with 10. Jarod Hagood scored six, Brady Sult four, Bret Cogburn three, Devon Corpus three while Parker Hallmark, Josh Alvarado and Meine Huisman contributed two apiece.

Lingleville has a tough test Tuesday at Strawn. The Cardinals beat the Greyhounds 76-75 on a Tim Griffin jumper at the buzzer during the first loop of 18-A play.
