STEPHENVILLE (February 10, 2015) — Looks like crime really doesn’t pay. She may have had a lot to say before, but not much this morning. At least not for the ‘brave’ Amanda Srader, who, after seeing her pictures, name and information posted on numerous websites including this one and Erath County Crime Stoppers, took to Facebook to make fun of those pursuing her.
After telling anyone who would listen that she wasn’t scared of or worried about local law enforcement who were looking for her, even offering a $1,000 reward for tips leading to her arrest, Srader made a comment about leaving the area while posting pictures of her, a friend and some children. A younger female, who claimed to be a niece of Srader’s, threatened herself with bodily harm should Srader be taken into custody.
However, all was for nought, as according to information provided to The Flash Tuesday morning, Srader was taken into custody in Bluff Dale by officers from the Erath County Sheriff’s Department. Srader was arrested at approximately 9 a.m. for delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 – over four grams but under 200 grams. She could face other charges as well, law enforcement officials said.
“We got her,” a local criminal recovery specialist reported in a brief phone call to The Flash Tuesday morning. “This says a lot about this community. We had been looking for Srader for a while, but when local media helped get the word out through Crime Stoppers, tips came in and, thanks to the hard work of several people, we were able to track her down.”
Srader was booked into the Erath County Jail Tuesday.
