(BROCK) — Nobody’s season was on the line, and nobody was playing to advance to the next round of the 4A state basketball playoffs.

Stephenville met up with Decatur for a playoff warmup game at Brock High School Thursday night, following an SHS victory when the same schools squared off in the area round of the girls playoffs earlier the same evening.

The boys game went the way of Decatur, 60-47. Now, both teams prepare for the real thing, and for Stephenville that means a bi-district date with Iowa Park next Tuesday in Jacksboro.

The Yellow Jackets were led Thursday by forward Zoey Kendall with 13 points inside and guards Darian Brown and Kaegun Williams with 10 and nine, respectively, either from the perimeter or penetrating on dribble drives. Easton Jones scored five for Stephenville, Josh Nowell four, Tyler Griffin three, Coby Vandenberg two and Mason Holstein one.
