STEPHENVILLE (March 5, 2015) — The Tarleton State University Department of Fine Arts presents faculty members Dr. Heather Hawk and Dr. Leslie Spotz in a free faculty recital on Thursday, March 19.

The recital begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Theater.

Hawk, an award-winning soprano, serves as assistant professor of voice, and will join internationally renowned pianist Spotz, associate professor of piano, for this first-time collaboration between the two Tarleton faculty members.

Popular arias by Mozart and Puccini will be presented as well as the song cycle, Try Me, Good King, by American composer Libby Larsen. This song cycle for soprano and piano is a representation of the last words of each of the wives of Henry VIII.

A reception will immediately follow the recital.
