Agnes Dunnegan, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Gustine, Texas, on Friday, April 24, 2015.

She was born at home on February 13, 1922, on the family farm near Spicewood, Texas, to Willie and Olga (Beltz) Rosenbusch. Her father, Willie Rosenbusch, emigrated from Germany to Texas in 1894, at the age of six, and her mother, Olga Beltz, emigrated from Germany to Massachusetts in 1910, at the age of seventeen.

Agnes’ early school years were spent in a one room school house. During high school she moved from the family farm to Pflugerville, and lived with family friends until she graduated. On March 7, 1941, she married Ted Dunnegan in Austin. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2014. When Agnes and Ted retired in 1981, they moved to Gustine and built a new home. She enjoyed her retirement years with domestic travel, gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, playing music, camping and especially fishing.

She is survived by two sons: Pat Dunnegan of Dripping Springs and Tommy Dunnegan and wife Cathy of Lamkin. She was preceded in death by her brother, and her parents, Will and Olga Rosenbusch.
