In the field it was Euphemia Edem who highlighted action for Tarleton. The four-time Lone Star Conference women’s field athlete of the week continued to leave her mark in the Tarleton record books, this time in the triple jump.

Edem would finish the day with a best jump of 12.88m (42′-3.25″) to break the 11-year-old record of 41′ 10.75″ set by dual-sport athlete (volleyball, track and field) Lacey Adkisson back in 2004. Edem’s jump is currently ranked No. 3 in Division II. The senior from Calabar, Nigeria now holds both indoor and outdoor records for both long jump and triple jump.

Wrapping up the action were the 4x400m relays. The men finished third, clocking a 3:11.00, while the TexAnns ran a season best 3:45.44, currently ranked No. 13 in Division II.

Tarleton will take a two-week break from action before heading to San Angelo for the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 7-9.
