
STEPHENVILLE – After sweeping a pair of matches over the weekend, Tarleton moved up one spot to No. 19 in the nation by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
This is the sixth week of national voting and Tarleton has been as high as No. 18 and as low as No. 24, while always remaining ranked this year.

Tarleton is one of two Lone Star Conference schools in the top 25, joining Texas A&M-Commerce who is tied at No. 21 in the poll. Tarleton has been ranked in every poll since the final ranking of the 2016 season, which is 21 consecutive weeks in the national spotlight.
Tarleton went 2-0 last weekend, earning victories over Texas A&M-Kingsville and St. Mary’s. Tarleton has won a season-high 10 straight matches with eight of its wins resulting in a sweep. Tarleton is currently alone at the top of the LSC standings with a 13-2 record and a 6-0 mark in league play.
Tarleton will remain at home for a non-conference match against Dallas Baptist on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. The TexAnns will then hit the road to play a pair of LSC matches, starting with Cameron on Friday, Sept. 28 and Midwestern State on Saturday, Sept. 29.
