STEPHENVILLE (May 12, 2015) — The entrepreneurial spirit was alive and well with the presentation of winners of the first Entrepreneurs of Erath contest in the ballrooms of the Thompson Student Center on the campus of Tarleton State University Tuesday.
WHRL Solution, with its patent-pending technology that returns hot water from captured heat energy in dairy milk, won first place and $25,000 for presenting the best business plan to judges in a contest aimed to foster “entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation among the greater Erath County area, in conjunction with the students at Tarleton,” as published in the program for the event.
Second place and $10,000 went to AJT Compliance, which is making two services available to transportation companies that need help gaining or maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies for the transportation and pipeline industries.
Third place and $5,000 goes to Texas Twisters Cheer & Tumbling, which offers cheer, trampoline, tumbling and gymnastics training from experienced coaches, as well as camps, general classes, fitness classes, competitive teams and a facility that can be rented for private events.
Other finalists included Pathways Early Autism Intervention, AA Conversions, EasyFinder Phone & Remote Locator and DMCDesign.
