(June 24, 2015) — Stephenville youth Jessica Howell helped the Texas Young Guns win the Premier Division of a rain-shortened 14U select softball tournament in College Station last weekend.
Howell, who is entering the ninth grade at Stephenville High School, boasted an on-base percentage of .730 during the tournament, including belting a home run over the centerfield fence.
The Young Guns, comprised of players from central and southern Texas and sponsored by Miken Sports, have qualified to compete in a national event later this summer.
