Services for Ada Pearl Philpot, 93, a homemaker and library aide, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
She was born in Jenny Lind, Arkansas, on December 13, 1921, to Neal and Bessie Isabell (Yaden) Bartlett. She married Harris Philpot on November 24, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1984. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville, Texas, the Kum Dubl Sunday School class, and the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Philpot and wife, Tasha, of Jacksonville, FL, Carol Ann Trice and husband, David, of Lingleville, TX, and Ronnie Philpot and wife, Molly, of Atlanta, GA; her sister, Nova Jean Allison of North Richland Hills, TX; grandchildren, Edna Kimbrell, Valerie Biedger, Peggy Holzweiss, Jeff Trice, Brian Trice, Christopher Philpot, and Kelly Donham; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
