STEPHENVILLE (July 7, 2015) — Tarleton State University 2015 Texan football reserved-seating season tickets are available.
Reserved season tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at the Tarleton Athletic Ticket Office inside Wisdom Gym or by calling 254-968-1832. The ticket office is open from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Individual reserved tickets on game days will be $15 at the gate ($12 prior to game day). Once individual general-admission tickets are available, they will be $10 for adults and $7 for children.
The Tarleton home opener is scheduled at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, against the University of Findlay (Ohio). The game against the Oilers, in addition to being Military Appreciation night, will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 1978 NAIA national playoffs.
With an open date on Sept. 5, Tarleton still could add one more contest to its 10-game regular season schedule. In addition to the regular schedule, the Lone Star Conference football playoffs are scheduled for Nov. 7 and 14 at the home of the highest seed in the respective games.
After the Sept. 12 opener, the Texans will hit the road for back-to-back weeks in the only scheduled consecutive games away from Memorial Stadium.
Tarleton will head to AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the fourth-straight season as part of the Lone Star Football Festival on Sept. 19 to square off in the LSC opener against West Texas A&M at 3:30 p.m. before turning around the next week for a trip to Wichita Falls for a Sept. 26 meeting against Midwestern State.
When the calendar turns to October, Tarleton will be back in Stephenville on the first Saturday of the month to host Texas A&M-Commerce during Family Weekend for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
After an Oct. 10 trip to Texas A&M-Kingsville, the Texans will return home for the third and fourth home games of the season—beginning with the 2015 homecoming game against Eastern New Mexico at 6 p.m. on Oct. 17. The final regular-season home game will be the following Saturday against Oklahoma Panhandle State, which will join the LSC in 2016 as a football only affiliate.
The regular season will close on Halloween in San Angelo as the Texans face Angelo State at LeGrand Stadium.
“We’re excited for the season,” said head coach Cary Fowler. “It’s exciting to have 10 Division II games on the schedule, and that is going to be big for us.”
