(July 15, 2015) — TexAnn Basketball Fundamentals Camp for girls entering grades 4-12 is next Sunday, July 19, through Wednesday, July 22, at Tarleton State. Limited spots remain available.
Check-in for local girls commuting to and from the camp is 6-6:30 p.m. Sunday. Overnight campers check in from 5-5:30 p.m. Camp ends at 5 p.m. next Wednesday following an awards ceremony. On other days, commuters will be served lunch and dinner. They are to report at 8 a.m. and depart at approximately 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
The camp is overseen by Tarleton women’s head coach Misty Wilson with instruction provided by area high school coaches, TexAnn assistant coaches and current and former TexAnn players. Participants will receive instruction in all basketball fundamentals, including shooting, ball handling, scoring situations, defense and rebounding. Campers will be divided by age group for competitions.
The cost is $300 with a $100 deposit for overnight campers and $210 with a $75 deposit for commuters.
