U.S. VeteranCol. Chester H. Davis, 75, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Stephenville.

Col. Chester H. Davis was born on May 3, 1940 in Vanita, Ok to the late Chester M. and Anna Garner Davis. He married Sharon McNay on August 26, 1962 in Littleton, Co. Col. Davis served 27 years in the U.S. Infantry, serving 2 tours in Viet Nam where he earned multiple Silver and Bronze Stars for valor, the Army Commendation Medal and Purple Heart.

Chet, as he was known to his friends, began his military career in the Tarleton State University ROTC Colorgaurd and received his commission in the Army on his graduation from Colorado State University as the Distinguished Military Graduate.

Throughout his life Chet enjoyed hunting, fishing and fixing old cars. On his retirement in 1992 he moved to Bluff Dale to operate the Cedar Point Orchard and Vineyard.

Survivors include his wife, Sheri Davis; sons, Clair and wife Franzi, and Cale Davis and girlfriend, Barbara Touchon; brothers, Mark Davis and Russell Davis; sister, Joy Lee and husband Don; grandsons, Willie and Sam Davis.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to National Parkinson Foundation Gift Processing Center P.O. Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
