STEPHENVILLE (August 5, 2015) — A new school year is just around the corner and along with all those pencils, notebooks and backpacks you’ll be picking up, you’re future stars will also be needing some new clothes because ‘come on, Mom, I just can’t wear that old stuff again!’

But how are you going to afford it? Never fear! Cornerstone Assembly Church has the answer with their annual Back-to-School clothing exchange. In the coolest back-to-school idea ever, Cornerstone is helping your kids get back to the books in style, while still allowing you to keep some green.

Cornerstone employees have been taking clothing donations in sizes 2T through things that will fit a high school student at the church office during regular business hours for several weeks. Now, on Saturday, August 8, beginning at 8 a.m., they will host a free kids clothing exchange.

“We are asking parents to clean out clothes that their kids are no longer wearing and donate them to the exchange,” one employee said of the event. “Then come to the exchange and pick out clothes your kids can use for next year.”

This allows parents to clean out some of the clothes their kids aren’t wearing or have outgrown, giving those parents a free alternative to get different clothes for their kids for the new year.

“Donations are not required for parents to come to the exchange and get clothes,” she said. “But we do ask that parents consider it, since that allows even more kids and parents to benefit from the exchange.”

The exchange will happen on Saturday, August 8, from 8 a.m. until noon at the Cornerstone Assembly Outreach Center. For more information, contact the exchange at (254) 918-5433.
