STEPHENVILLE (October 27, 2015) — A proposed change to Stephenville’s parking ordinance will establish no parking zones on portions of more than 40 streets under Chapter 5 of the Stephenville Municipal Code.
Police Chief Jason King made the recommendations to City Administrator Pat Bridges in a memo dated Oct. 22, 2015, based upon community growth, neighborhoods and streets undergoing change.
“The revisions of Chapter 75 reflect proposed alterations or additions to certain streets and blocks of streets where the need for restrictions was recognized,” King wrote.
There are seven streets that will have restricted parking and residents in those areas will need to obtain parking permits.
Stephenville’s public health and safety committee is expected to review the recommendation as part of its meeting Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the council training room at Stephenville City Hall.
