STEPHENVILLE (November 14, 2015) — Tarleton state scored the opening 13 points and never looked back in a 91-47 season opening rout of first-year NCAA Division II member Concordia-Irvine (Calif.) in the Texan Tipoff Classic at Wisdom Gym Friday.

Tarleton concludes its action in the Texan Tipoff Classic at 5 p.m. Saturday against Texas A&M-International.

Meagan O’Dell scored a career best 16 points to lead a balanced scoring effort by Tarleton. Raven McGrath and Bailey Wipff each scored 14, and none of three logged more than 21 minutes in the easy win.

Forward Kikpeaku Iwobi scored eight and snared 12 rebounds, Morgan Ashmore scored nine and Tiara Tatum had seven along with three steals.

Tarleton had 11 players score and 11 deal at least one assist. The TexAnns finished with 19 assists to 11 turnovers, and shot 52.9 percent from the floor.

The TexAnns were also 14-16 at the foul stripe, led by a 5-5 performance by Ashomore.
